the importance of respecting and caring for the Mediterranean Sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before citing some of the tips necessary to take care of the oceans when we are sailing, it is essential to know their importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The oceans help regulate the planet&#8217;s climate.<\/li><li> They absorb 90% of the heat caused by climate change.<\/li><li> Absorb 23% of human-generated CO\u2082 emissions.<\/li><li> They produce most of the oxygen we breathe.<\/li><li> They form a large part of the basis of the global economy, protecting major sectors such as international shipping, tourism and fisheries.<\/li><li> They cover 70% of the earth&#8217;s surface.<\/li><li> More than 300 million people depend on the oceans as a major source of protein.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, to protect the oceans while sailing is important:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Do not throw anything into the sea<\/li><li> Sailing is a good way to help the marine ecosystem.<\/li><li> Sail in a calm manner<\/li><li> Do not go near coastal areas inhabited by coral reefs.<\/li><li> Use ECO-Friendly products to guarantee the correct balance of the marine environment.<\/li><li> Do not use chemical compounds that endanger the marine environment, such as Oxybenzone.<\/li><li> Do not anchor in posidonia areas, as this plant is fundamental to the ecosystem, helps in the production of oxygen, is the habitat for millions of species and helps to conserve the sediment thanks to its roots.<\/li><li> Energy is very important for sailing, so reduce petrol consumption, use solar panels to capture solar energy or renewable energy such as wind or kinetic energy.<\/li><li> Replace conventional engines with electric outboard motors, as they do not leak gas and fuel or oil.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These are some of the tips we should apply to take care of the oceans while sailing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At
